Tuesday’s council meeting was so brief that several would-be attendees missed it.  There was only one working elevator in the building, which made ascension to the 9th floor painfully slow.  By the time the stranded ones arrived around 2:15, lights were out in the chamber and those in the meeting were leaving. Advice:  arrive early!

This is what the council approved:

•Amendment to an agreement for legal advice, guidance and representation.  The amendment will increase compensation by an additional $200,000, making the total compensation $400,000

•A resolution to modify terms and conditions of employment for employees represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)

• A funding agreement with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Authority (MTA) to receive a $300,000 grant to hire a City Representative for developing a Traffic Management Plan, Neighborhood  Management Plan, and a Funding Plan to accommodate stadium attendees

•Award of contract for the Emergency Generator Replacement Project, per Bid No. CB-16-10, in the amount of $1,240,730; plus a 10% contingency of $124,073 for a total project construction allotment of $1,364,803

•Payment of an invoice submitted for residential sound insulation construction work for $24,981.11; and a resolution amending the Residential Sound Insulation Department Fiscal Year 2016-17 Annual Budget

The council also approved adoption of a resolution authorizing the issuance of refunding bonds for the former Inglewood Redevelopment Agency.
