The Los Angeles Rams will host the team’s first PLAY 60 event in the Los Angeles area when they travel to Inglewood’s Coleman Field to engage 800 Inglewood Unified School District youth in a day of fun and fitness. PLAY 60 is the NFL’s campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity and promote active and healthy lifestyles among youth. Friday’s PLAY 60 event will feature a variety of activities and stations, including a 40-yard dash, tackling dummies, field-goal kicking and the opportunity to catch a touchdown pass from a Rams player.

The event is also the kickoff of the team’s Staff Day of Service program in the Los Angeles area. Each month, the Rams front office staff will take time out of the office to volunteer with local non-profits. The program, which began in St. Louis in 2009, has resulted in more than 12,000 hours of community service.
