Florence A. Falls was born to be a miracle

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”- Harriet Tubman

Way back before she was even thought of, Florence A. Falls parents enjoyed a wonderful life in the adopted city of Florence, Alabama. A place that is known for many spiritual miracles.

Located in Lauderdale County, Alabama, the city of Florence is located in the state’s northwest corner. Situated along the Tennessee River, Florence is home to the University of North Alabama, the oldest college in the state. According to the 2010 census, the city’s population was 39,319.

Roosevelt Edward Falls (aka Rev. R.E. Falls) was a pastor and his wife Wilma Falls, a civil rights advocate. They loved the city of Florence, so much so they decided to name their daughter after it when she was born in 1976.

“That’s really how I got my name,” Florence A. Falls explained to Inglewood Today. A local newspaper even documented the event of the name.

Born in Florence, their daughter Florence A. Falls was later raised in West Point, Mississippi when her parents relocated.

The pure essence of over protecting religious grandparents, a theologian bible thumping father and a rebel mother once accused of overthrowing the government constitute the bold bloodlines that Florence inherited.

At 45, Florence is the proud mother of four children (Khiante, 25, Ormani 17, Diamond 15 and Harrison-Bradley 14), a novice Harley Davidson motorcycle rider, a soon to be associate pastor and district manager at Jackson Hewitt tax service.

Since arriving to Inglewood in October 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Florence is embracing the sunshine and opportunity in Southern California.

“I know that God directed me here to fulfill my purpose,” she said.

Her father was born in Pasadena, but until recently she never thought of leaving of comfort of her Southern confines.

In retrospect perhaps it was dad’s footprints in the sand all along.

She has adjusting quite nicely in a brief time period.

At Jackson Hewitt, she is overseeing 18 offices as Additional District Manager.

The scope of her work is non-stop but does not prevent her from fully committing to Faith Church L.A. located at 134 South Central Ave. in Compton where on April 18 she will be installed as the Associate Pastor. Each Sunday at 9 a.m., Florence is there in support of Pastor Andre Chapple.

There doesn’t appear to be enough hours in the day for Florence who has authored a book ‘The Ultimate Gentleman’ soon to be released, also launching a programs ‘Millionaire Shades of You’ and ‘Goal Diggers’ for women with a mission to enhance self-esteem.

If that isn’t enough, she is also an event planner that focuses on interior design.

Her ultimate goal is to help women, with already drafted self-help guides close to production.

For relaxing, when her busy schedule permits, she chooses to smoke a cigar or two at LA Lounge where she owns a private membership.

She is all southern hospitality at heart, but driven by her desire to make a difference in a complicated world much like her father who is still alive and mother years since passed.

Like the city that bare her namesake Florence A. Falls is a miracle waiting to happen.
