Randy’s Donuts partners with women of color breast cancer survivors

IT News Wire

Randy’s Donuts, Los Angeles’ beloved donut shop for over 60 years, is featuring two pink donuts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors’ Support Project (WOC) based in Inglewood, CA.  During the month of October, proceeds of both the Pink Raised with Sprinkles and Pink Sprinkles Iced Cake donuts will be donated to WOC.

“Supporting social justice and self-advocacy, the fight against breast cancer and our local community organizations is very important to the Randy’s Donuts family.” said Mark Kelegian, President of Randy’s Donuts. “We are inspired by the founders of WOC origin stories, their commitment to fighting for culturally adequate cancer treatment within the African American community, and are honored to partner with WOC for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to help breast cancer survivors with their recovery.”

WOMEN OF COLOR BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS’ SUPPORT PROJECT was created to help survivors navigate the world of recovery and develop self-care plans to aid in their survivorship. Their mission is to support breast cancer survivors, offer crisis intervention in the healing process, educate women and families on breast health, and actively participate in effective change as it relates to health and racial disparities.

The Pink Raised with Sprinkles and Pink Sprinkles Iced Cake donuts are available at all five Randy’s Donuts locations in the greater Los Angeles area (Inglewood, El Segundo, Century City, Downey and Pasadena). To make a donation directly to WOC Breast Cancer Survivors’ Support Project visit www.woc4you.org.  For more information about Randy’s Donuts, menus and locations, visit www.randysdonuts.com.
