Road Work on Centinela Avenue City Council Meeting Report

The City Water Division is currently working on water main replacement on Centinela Avenue between Inglewood Avenue and Eucalyptus Avenue. This water section had several breaks and it is due for replacement. The work will take approximately two weeks to complete. This work is being done now before the city begins the Centinela Street Improvement project which is anticipated to break ground this Summer.

The council approved a Professional Services Agreement with The Arroyo Group to provide planning and environmental services for preparation of the 2021-2029 Housing Element of the Inglewood General Plan with payment derived from the Grants Fund.

The council approved a three-year professional services agreements (with the option to extend for two additional years, in one-year increments) to provide building plan check consulting services for the Plan Check Services Project, per Proposal No. RFP – 0160 with payment derived from the General Fund.

The council awarded a contract and approved a three (3)-year agreement with Premier Property Preservation, LLC to provide janitorial services for City exterior park facilities with payment derived from the General Fund – COVID.

The council approved a four-year cooperative purchase agreement with Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc. to lease a total of 25 vehicles, with the option to buy and payment derived from the General Fund.

The council awarded and approved an agreement with the lowest, responsible bidder, S & L Specialty Construction, Inc., to provide residential sound insulation work on 50 residential units (RSI Phase XV, Group 30), per Bid No. CB-21-02 with payment derived from the Noise Mitigation Fund.

The council adopted a resolution amending the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Budget for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Minor Home Rehabilitation Program in the amount of $327,486.85 with payment derived from Grant Funds.

The council adopted a resolution amending the 2020-2021 Fiscal Year budgeted positions and introduced an Ordinance to amend Inglewood Municipal Code Chapter 8 (Businesses, Trades, and Professions), Articles 9 (Just Cause Eviction Protections) and 10 (Residential Rent Regulations), and Chapter 2 (Administration), Article 3 (Boards and Commissions).
