Friends of Inglewood Public Library

Receives Special Commendation

Mayor Butts opened this week’s council meeting by reciting a special commendation that was given to the Friends of Inglewood Public Library in recognition of increasing literacy in the City of Inglewood, especially during the summer of 2019. The commendation acknowledged the community organizations that are dedicated to the Inglewood Reads program and applauds their work as they carry out events, programs and awareness-building activities that encourage all residents of Inglewood to read and help others to read.

The council approved an amendment to the bylaws of the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) and approved the option to extend for one additional year with P&R Paper Supply Company for the purchase of various janitorial supplies for all City facilities,

The council authorized the payment of an invoice submitted by Versaterm for software licensing and annual support and approved a three-year agreement with Braden Consulting to provide professional project and program management.

The council also approved Amendment No. 3 to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Agreement No. MR312.12 with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) to extend ITS IV-A funding lapse date to June 30, 2019, for FY 2012-13 programmed funds, and extend ITS IV-A funding lapse date to June 30, 2023, for FY 2018-19 programmed funds. They also approved Water Rights License and Agreements between the City of Inglewood and the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation for the lease of 48 acre-feet of the City’s groundwater rights at $125 per acre-foot, for a total amount of $6,000.

Council awarded a contract and approved an agreement with HHJ Construction, Inc., to provide residential sound insulation work on 51 residential units;  to provide residential sound insulation work on 18 residential units: to provide residential sound insulation work on 63 residential units:

an Agreement with CSDA Design Group to provide Architectural/Engineering Design and Acoustic Testing services for up to 100 residential units within the City’s Residential Sound Insulation Program: and an Agreement with The Jones Payne Group to provide Architectural/Engineering Design and Acoustic Testing services for up to 100 residential units within the City’s Residential Sound Insulation Program.
