Centennial’s Josh Giles to coach Collision All Stars

One of the most decorated high school basketball coaches in California, Corona Centennial’s Josh Giles has been named Southern Section boy’s coach at the 22nd annual Collision All Star Game on Saturday April 30, at El Camino College in Torrance.

Collision All Stars is the most prestigious post season game in Southern California featuring senior girl’s and boy’s student/athletes representing the CIF Southern Section and CIF Los Angeles City Section, respectively.

Giles recently led the Huskies to the Open Division sectional and state championships and during his illustrious 20 year career and has won over 400 games, including six undefeated season, 14 league championships and back to back Open Division titles.

“We’re in,” said Giles referring to both he and his top player New Mexico recruit and Open Division Co- Player of the Year Donavon Dent who will be playing in Collision.

The City boy’s team will be piloted by King Drew’s Lloyd Webster who will coach his super star guard Kalib LaCount, the City Open Division Co-Player of the Year, for the final time at Collision.

The girl’s head coaches will be Palisades Adam Levine for the City and Lynwood’s Ellis Barfield for the Southern Section.
