SoFi Stadium has won the Pollstar Stadium of the Year award for the second consecutive time,
a notable feat as SoFi is still in its infancy. Since its fall opening in 2020, SoFi has hosted the
Rams-winning Super Bowl 56, two Beyonce tours, two legs of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour,
international soccer matches and the infamous The Weeknd concert where R&B crooner, Abel
Tesfaye, lost his voice a few songs into his set (an unforgettable blunder that he references on
his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow).
SoFi is stepping it’s game up this year with upgrades to their suite boxes and improved menu
offerings, including carne asada fries and poke nachos. Their 2025 concert series is stacked
with Julion Alvarez selling out 3 consecutive shows earlier in April, Beyonce kicking off the
Cowboy Carter tour this week, and The GNX Tour (starring Kendrick Lamar and Sza), Kpop
bands: Stray Kids and Blackpink, Shakira, The Weeknd, George Strait and Chris Stapleton and
Chris Brown are on the way–an incredibly diverse lineup.
YouTube Theater, SoFi’s boutique venue sibling, is also earning their chops, winning Billboard’s
2025 Top West Coast Club or Theater vote. YouTube Theater tends to host smaller acts or
shows with an emphasis on intimate storytelling (Alicia Keys and Sam Smith have both taken
their tours to the YouTube stage).
Latino and Hispanic acts in particular are thriving in the YouTube Theater space. Mexican
musical acts Yuri, José Maria Napoleon, Bronco, and Eladio Carrion–the Kansas born Puerto
Rican rapper–will all bring their talents to the YouTube stage this year. The group Palomazo
Norteño sold out their April 26th show, and we’re certain the upcoming artists will fare just as
well.
The new kids on the block pack a punch and will continue to compete with Hollywood and DTLA
to be an entertainment hub open to all.
