Inglewood Touts COVID Pandemic Response

As of November 17, 2020 the City of Inglewood recorded 29 new cases in the past 24 hours bringing our total cases to 3,593 as of Tuesday. There was 1 death due to COVID reported in the last week bringing our total COVID related deaths figure to 94.  A total of 32,945 Inglewood residents have been tested yielding an 11% positive test rate.  Nationwide there are 11 Million confirmed cases with 345,000 cases in Los Angeles County resulting in 7,299 deaths.  Inglewood deaths are 1% of the LA County total. 

City actions taken

The City has arranged for the Forum to be a COVID-19 testing site (free of charge) 7 days per week.  The turnaround for test results is about 3 days that will be emailed to you. Schedule your test at this website: https://covid19.lacounty.gov/testing/

The City is in the second phase of COVID-19 Rental Relief and $1,000 Debit Card programs.  The City will provide up to 1,000 renters with up to 3 months back rent payment relief for those impacted by COVID-19 (loss of employment or underemployment).  648 renters have signed up for the program and 2,200 have applied for Debit cards. 50 cards have been issued.
