NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Mayor and Council Members of the City of Inglewood, California will conduct a public hearing on December 7, 2021 to consider comments on the Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2020 and ending September 30, 2021. Interested persons may address the City Council on the issue during the public hearing via phone using the instruction on the City of Inglewood’s Agenda webpage:

The above access options provide the public with the opportunity to both observe and listen to the meeting.

The CAPER is presented annually to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by the City of Inglewood in compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements for reporting program performance and accomplishments for HUD Consolidated Planning Grant Entitlement Programs. The City participates in two entitlement programs: The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME).

The required major components of the CAPER include assessments of the City’s performance in meeting the following: Consolidated Plan Goals and Objectives, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, Providing Affordable Housing Opportunities, Continuum of Care Support Services, Leveraging Resources, Citizen Comments, and Self-Evaluation. The narrative statements summarize the community development and housing goals and objectives listed in the Consolidated Plan and provide a description of the activities undertaken during fiscal year 2020-2021 to meet those goals. The financial summary indicates all program expenditures and information to identify the source and amounts of funds utilized during the fiscal year. Comments received during the public review period will be included in the final version of the CAPER, submitted to HUD.

A copy of the CAPER will be available for review be available for review online by December 10, 2021, as part of the City Council Agenda at www.cityofinglewood.org
