Hollywood Park has officially added yet another element of entertainment next to SoFi Stadium on the 300-acre property being built by Los Angeles Rams Owner and Chairman Stanley Kroenke.

‘YouTube Theater’ is a 6,000-seat, 227,000-square-foot three-story indoor venue that will host concerts, comedy shows, Esports competitions, community and corporate events, and more.

On Hollywood Park ground; Sofi Stadium, American Airlines Plaza, and YouTube Theater all sit under the same ETFE roof canopy. There are 11 roof columns connected to YouTube Theater, which allow the venue to seamlessly blend into the southernmost corner of the roof canopy.

The theater features an exterior balcony that overlooks American Airlines Plaza (the outdoor, open-air space that serves as the main entrance) Lake Park, and other portions of the Hollywood Park development.

As for the theater’s interior, patrons will notice the interactive digital wall that will be used to celebrate YouTube creators and artists by showcasing them in a gallery-like setting. Also, in the lobby is a two-story chandelier, made of Kaynemaile architectural mesh from New Zealand, that hangs from the balcony level to the plaza level.

Angela Courtin, Vice President of YouTube Marketing, says that the brand looks forward to bringing more cultural events and establishments to Inglewood, and remains in partnership with Inglewood Mayor James Butts to keep these initiatives at the forefront. “Our goal is to partner with the mayor on what we can do to bring the best of Google and YouTube in partnership with the community– to help some of the younger audiences participate, whether that’s creating content, or whether that’s the tech side of content,” says Courtin.

In attendance at the YouTube Theater ribbon-cutting ceremony was Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Mayor Butts, Supervisor Holly Mitchell, along with Council Members Dionne Faulk, Eloy Morales, Alex Padilla, and George Dotson, among many more.

At the ceremony, Mayor Butts approached the podium to give thanks and recognition to all those involved in the developing project of Hollywood Park– and also to boast about the promising, thriving City of Champions, “Inglewood is now seen as one of the top-tier cities in the United States of America,” says the mayor, beaming with pride.
