Inglewood Today and The Serving Spoon, the iconic Urban Eatery that has served Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton in addition to a legion of other celebrities and community patrons, are teaming up to sponsor breakfast or lunch for a family of four each month.
The program, sponsored by The Serving Spoon in conjunction with Inglewood Today, will begin with the first family in October and continue each month.
Interested families are required to send a 300 word essay to kmiller@inglewoodtoday explaining how they have been impacted by COVID-19 and or racism. The chose family will be contacted and presented with a gift certificate for the family of four to eat at The Serving Spoon.
“This is just another measure of the philanthropy of JC Johnson and his lovely wife Angela demonstrating how much they care for others. I am elated that our readers can share their story with us and then enjoy a wholesome family meal,” said Inglewood Today Publisher Kenneth Miller.
