Last night (11/24/23) at about 10:15PM, Inglewood PD received a radio call of an armed takeover robbery in progress at 222 N. Market , CVS. Units arrived on-scene, quickly gathered the suspects’ description and vehicle information, and relayed to assisting units. They additionally broadcasted that four male Black adults entered the store; all were armed with handguns and systematically robbed the patrons as well as the store. There were 10 victims. Officers in the area of Manchester Bl./La Brea Ave. observed a vehicle matching the description occupied by four males. They attempted to conduct a high-risk traffic stop, but the vehicle fled westbound. The officers pursued the vehicle westbound on Manchester Boulevard. The vehicle attempted a northbound turn onto La Cienega Boulevard and collided with two vehicles. At this time, all four suspects exited the vehicle and ran in multipleo directions. Assisting units were able to detain 3 out of the 4 suspects. Field IDs were conducted, and all three suspects were positively identified.
The suspects were booked for ADW and Armed Robbery and other applicable charges. No one was injured in the traffic collision. This robbery matches the suspects’ description and modus operandi of the Walgreens takeover robbery on 11/18/23.
