Inglewood and Pepsi Partner for Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway at Hollywood Park

The City of Inglewood will host its 7th Annual Turkey Giveaway Presented by Pepsi, on Tuesday,

November 23rd, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hollywood Park.

The event will serve 2,500 Inglewood residents, providing turkeys donated by Don Lee Farms, a bag of sides and additional items from Pepsi. Melissa’s, the official produce partner of SoFi Stadium,YouTube Theater, and American Airlines Plaza, will also donate 25,000 lbs. of produce, including Idaho® potatoes, carrots and Granny Smith apples.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway is a drivethru event and participants must be registered in advance to receive the items. No walk-ups will be allowed. To register https://tinyurl.com/COIturkey21.

In attendance at the giveaway will be Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts, members of the City Council, and Hollywood Park executives, with a special appearance by rapper Snoop Dogg.

“While we are not where we were last year, we are still seeing the effects of the pandemic in our community. It has created real hardships for many of our residents,” said Mayor Butts, “but through the support of our sponsoring partner, Pepsi, our host Hollywood Park, as well as the helping hand offered by Snoop Dogg, a longtime supporter of the Turkey Giveaway, we hope this event will not only provide food for families but also bring some much-needed good cheer for the holiday.

This is Pepsi’s second year as a presenting sponsor of Inglewood’s Turkey Giveaway. As a part of

the Thanksgiving giveaway, Pepsi is donating cases of bubbly sparkling water to Inglewood families participating in the drive-thru.

“As a food and beverage company, PepsiCo feels a responsibility to give back to the community with essential items this Thanksgiving,” said Claudia Calderon, vice president of marketing, Pepsi Beverages North America, West Division. “This is our second year partnering with SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, and our local teams at the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, and we’re so grateful for these likeminded partners, because together we can accomplish so much more.”

In addition to the community partners, including Hollywood Park, which has roots in Inglewood that stretch back to the 1930s, the event day will be supported by over 150 community and corporate volunteers, as well as the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers
