Upcoming critical Week 13 for Rams

Coming off of their third loss in a row, many would call the Rams’ Week 13 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars an absolute must-win game. What started off as a riveting, promising season for the Matthew Stafford-led squad has taken a decline over the past few weeks. In three games, Stafford has thrown a total of five interceptions, and overall, the Rams offense simply hasn’t clicked liked it so mechanically did during the opening weeks of season.

After last week’s 28-36 loss against the Green Bay Packers, head coach Sean McVay expressed his dismay of their offensive performance, identifying the ongoing problem as “a lot of the same narratives.” The Packers scored 16 points off of three Rams turnovers. “We turn the ball over too many times. You can’t get behind against a good football team like that.” Finding the silver lining, McVay added, “I do love the way that our guys continue to battle.”

But this week against the 2-9 Jaguars, the Rams have an opportunity to settle back into their rhythm. Despite the Rams current losing streak, they are still favored to walk away with a win at SoFi Stadium this Sunday. Week 13 has the potential to be a continuous momentum-building game for quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who the Rams recently acquired in a head-turning, mid-season move on November 11.

This Sunday is crucial for the Rams. Losing three games in a row is a tough hole to be in for any football team, but dragging that losing streak to four would be disastrous for the once considered Super Bowl contenders, especially against one of the worst teams in the league.
