David Long Jr. has set intentions to make a positive impact in the community. Last week, the Rams cornerback made a visit to Inglewood’s Warren Lane Elementary School, providing kids with school supplies such as pens, pencils, notebooks, rulers, and more.
Long handed out a total of 240 backpacks, each filled with supplies. “It’s really special to be able to give back to schools in the community. Even beyond football… I just want to really help as far as giving them resources and things that they need to succeed in whatever path they choose,” says Long.
It was an interactive experience with the kids, as the event consisted of Long taking pictures and playing games with the young scholars, along with distributing the school supplies.
“If you have the ability, you should always try to give back to the community, either the one that you’re from, or the one that you’re taking from,” says Long. “We’re here using SoFi, and this is their home…so it’s only right that I give back.”
