In lieu of a regular weekly city council meeting on Tuesday, the Inglewood City Council met in a special meeting on Wednesday and handled the following:
The council authorized the payment of invoices from the County of Los Angeles for Supplemental Law Enforcement Services provided to the City of Inglewood with funds derived from the General Fund.
The council approved an agreement with the City of Hawthorne, with an option to extend two (2) additional years in one-year increments) authorizing the Chief of Police (or designee) to request supplemental law enforcement services for special events, with funds derived from the General Fund.
Similarly, the council approved agreements with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) authorizing the Chief of Police to request supplemental law enforcement services from the CHP for professional sporting and entertainment events.
